This club is a member of the (EKKA) Karate Association as well as the (EKF) English Karate Federation.

Karate is a martial art known primarily as a striking art, featuring punching, kicking, knee/elbow strikes and open handed techniques. It's also known for the fact that it's a lot of fun and a great way to make new friends for all ages.

As well as improving fitness many people find that learning a sport like karate improves their skills in balance and overall agility, so if you'd like to take part in karate you'll find that the benefits start rolling in pretty quickly.

Karate can also improve confidence, and as you improve we're pretty sure you'll start feeling great about yourself, plus, with that practice we're certain you'll be looking good too...

Gavin Williams - Chief Instructor is a black belt 3rd dan and has many years of teaching Karate to young and older students, and has come up through the ranks at the Blackwell Academy under the close eye of Mick Blackwell's black belt 8th dan karate master and chief instructor of the English korean Karate Association. (EKKA).

Gavin Williams & Mick Blackwell's philosophy is that every student is special and deserving of personal attention in a safe and secure learning environment.
